With all the construction and rebuilding going on in our Altadena neighborhood, I'm reminded of how important a solid, well-planned foundation is.
I think a lot of people approach health and fitness in haphazard ways. They follow influencers or celebrities who are trying to sell them something or a product promising them unrealistic results.
I encourage you to focus on the “big rocks” as the late Stephen Covey would say. The big areas of sleep and recovery, whole foods and proper hydration, and exercises and movement that challenge and push you out of your comfort zone.
There's nothing extreme or complicated about this.
Be the architect of your own health — build it with intention.
