December 21, 2008

As 2008 comes to a close, I want to send you my sincerest wishes for a Merry Christmas and happy holidays.

The spirit of Christmas is very alive in our home as my kids are super excited and full of anticipation. It's great to be a kid huh, no worries!

As 2009 is just around the corner I'd love to get your input on some things.

I still believe that fitness training and optimal health are critical to living full lives, and now with the Internet and new paths of communication, there are more possibilities for learning. For example, one of my clients has moved out of state and we will continue training together via video web casting. She will be in North Carolina doing her training session in front of her computer camera, and I'll be here in CA where I'll be coaching her from my computer.

I'd appreciate it if you could take a few minutes and let me know how I can help you in 2009. I've listed some ideas below. Feel free to answer one or any that may apply to you, and by all means add any ideas that you have. I will be reading all of these.

Especially in times of stress your health and fitness are even more important. If you haven't been training and eating like you should, take charge and get started. If I can be of any help, just let me know.

1. Would you sign up to a "workout of the month" DVD that is mailed to your door each month? You would get a brand new 4-week workout, done by me, so it would be like having your own personal trainer.

2. What style of workouts would suit your goals and needs?

3. Would you sign up to an "interview of the month" CD that is mailed to your door each month?

4. Who would you want to hear from each month? Nutritionists Bodybuilders? Fat loss gurus? Motivational speakers? Supplement experts? Professional athletes? Or a mixture of everything related to physical, intellectual and relational development?

5. Would you sign up for a print newsletter that is mailed to your door each month and what kind of fitness content would benefit you most? If you want more than fitness content, share your thoughts...

6. Would you consider telephone coaching where I teach a different fitness related topic to a small group on the phone where you can ask your fitness specific questions? How often would this be beneficial?

Thanks for your time on this, and I will talk to you soon,

Talk to you soon,

Stephen

Seems like everywhere you look there's another company promoting the nutritious Acai Berry as a weight loss miracle.

And that's why I thought it was critical to write you today. I want to make sure you know my opinion on the subject.

First, you know better than to believe you're going to pop some pills - ANY pills - and have the pounds and inches melt off like magic. If you've been listening to me for any length of time you know true fat loss comes from a variety of factors, including exercise and proper nutrition.

Second, any fitness expert worth their fees will tell you that any diet that promotes you eat any one food all day long and then eat a sensible dinner, well, don't bother. Yes, you will lose some weight short-term, but as soon as you go back to your old eating habits - and you know you will - you know exactly what happens.

Third, the Acai Berry contains VERY powerful antioxidants and it is getting a lot of good press for that very reason. Yes, antioxidants as in the extraordinary nutrients that help fight the free radicals associated with aging, cancer risk and other degenerative diseases.

And while on the subject, I wanted to fill you in on something that has recently come to light. Did you know that coffee berries (the berry that covers the coffee bean) is one of the most powerful antioxidants on the planet? It's something researchers have discovered in recent years.

What's really cool is my friends at Prograde Nutrition have just created an amazing Whole Foods based Anti-Aging formula called Prograde Longevity that includes both Acai Berry and Coffee Berry. Oh, and it also utilizes Green Tea, Pomegranate, Wolf Berry and Biovin Grape (Red Wine extract.)

Just to give you an idea of how powerful this formula is, well, you'd have to eat an entire POUND of raspberries to get the same ORAC value. And in case you're not familiar with the term, ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity.

The best part is their having a Thanksgiving Week sale to celebrate the launch of Prograde Longevity. From now until Friday you can get 11% off Longevity or any of their other exclusive products they offer.

You can check out Prograde Longevity for yourself here.

Just be sure to enter this coupon code in when you checkout: (yes, it's all lower case)

thanks

Oh, and just so you know, you can't find Prograde products in stores anywhere. They're so exclusive they only let fitness experts work with their company to help them get the word out.

Take care, Stephen

PS - Remember, Prograde's 11% off Thanksgiving Week Sale ends this Friday at Midnight EST, so be sure to get over there today.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.stephencoopertraining.com/newsletter-archives/2008/11/12/check-out-the-abs-on-craig.html"><rss:title>Check Out the Abs on Craig!</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.stephencoopertraining.com/newsletter-archives/2008/11/12/check-out-the-abs-on-craig.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Newsletter</dc:subject>

Don't expect a novel here as we don't have time to mess around.

No fluff, no filler.

It does take a lot to lose weight, fat specifically. You may have to stretch way outside your comfort zones. You may have to take RISKS. You might even fail in some way or another during the process.

It takes a lot to lose fat. Damn straight. Many in my industry would like to sell you otherwise, but you can't believe them.

You're bound to get frustrated, confused, stuck, and discouraged. You aren't the only one.

And that sucks, but that's life. It's the way things work. You have to get up, dust off, and get your butt back into exercising.

Let me tell you something. It costs 1,000 times more if you don't lose the fat.

Sure it can be tough getting up and running. And when things go south on you, it's tempting to throw in the towel.

But what will your life and your health be like five years from now if you don't tough it out?

Where will you be? Same body? Same health problems? Same tired and worn out feeling? Will you possibly go BACKWARDS?

It takes a lot to be fit and lose that unwanted fat.

But if you think about it, you have no choice but to do it.

The cost of not losing the fat is almost immeasurable. The cost of living a life unfulfilled. The cost of being trapped in a body you hate. The cost of looking in your loved one's eyes and saying "I can't play with you because I am too tired, or I feel embarrassed to go with you because of my weight..."

So which path will you choose?

Will you live as a tiger or a lamb?

On Tuesday I will be posting a brand new "Back to School - Back to Exercising" video to get you back on track.

Join me then.

Best,
Stephen
