The Importance of Sleep

My friend Matt over at eJabs has written a very smart and helpful article about the importance of sleep.

Like I told him, I am seeing more and more clients who are sleeping fewer hours, and to know surprise, they are battling weight issues.

Please keep the importance of sleep on your mind, as you try to stay healthy, and by all means check out Matt's article here...

Thank you for your expertise in this area Stephen.

I really, truly believe exercise and insomnia are strongly related. Keep me posted to your discoveries on this topic.

Thanks again,

Hey Coop,

Jennifer and I have been trying to cut down on sleep to have more hours during the day, but also stay fully rested.

What we're doing now is working great for us. Following Steve Pavlina's example we decided to get up at an early hour every morning (5a usually) and go to bed when we feel tired. We gave up caffeine so we can accurately tell when we're getting tired.

But here's what really helps. We meditate for 1 hour mid-day - you know, the siesta time. We come out of it refreshed and ready for the rest of the day - without that mid-afternoon funk & groggyness.

Have an awesome day!

Hi Dan,
Sounds like you are right on target. We tend to complicate things don't we? If we just listened to our bodies like you mentioned, sleeping when we feel tired, and not over stimulating...our bodies take care of themselves.
I like what you are doing over at your site, http://www.askdanandjennifer.com.
Thanks for your comment,
Coop
